The Bride and Groom’s
most Popular Questions
Q: How do I know that it will be
you that will be doing the photography?
A: I photograph all of
my Weddings. With only one exception: If I am
already booked for the date you want and you still want to work with Landers Photography anyway, we can
arrange for another photographer. We would still
oversee everything they do.
Q: I would like some ideas for engagement photo locations. We want to come up with some ideas for places we think would be good to have our engagement photos made, and we're stumped. We'd like our photos to be a reflection of us.
A: That is an important question! When a couple visits me at my studio to discuss this, I ask them "What is most important to you about your engagement portrait?" Then I'm silent while they answer. They tell me things like, "we want to look like we are in love," "We want to look our best," "We want beautiful, truly meaningful photographs," and lots of other things. The answers to these questions are the answer to yours. In knowing what you want for your photographs, you can more easily choose the location. Begin with the end in mind.
Is there a location that has an emotional tie to you both? The place where the question was popped? Is there a place that you frequent? Where was your first date? First kiss? Where were you the moment you knew you were in love?
Your photograph needs not only to be a beautiful representation of you and your love, but have an emotional connection and a story.
Q: Are there different degrees of
coverage that you provide for a wedding? What is
included in each? How much does it cost?
A: Sure, each Wedding is very different from the next, therefore we provide what you need. The cost depends on how musch time it takes and what products are included (albums, prints, etc.)
Q: What are the costs of extra
photographs and enlargements?
A: The extra prints price list starts at $10. You will see detailed information during the Wedding consultation.
Q: How do I see my proofs and how
long will it take?
A: Your previews will be online
within seven business days after the day of the
wedding. Usually with in three days.
Q: What if you become ill on my
wedding day?
A: This possibility is
unlikely; I have never missed a Wedding - my first wedding was in 1983 and I have been a full-time photographer since 1991. However,
because we do recognize the extreme importance of
this once-in-a-lifetime event, we do have a back
up photographer on standby.
Q: What must I do to ensure that
you reserve my day?
A: $500 deposit. This
automatically reserves your date.
Q: What if something happens and
we have to change our date or cancel?
A: Tell us A.S.A.P.!
If you need to change the date, it is
subject to availability. In the event of a
postponement, if you let us know at least
thirty days prior to the scheduled date, we will
issue credit for all payments toward
photography to be taken within twenty-four months
from the date that the photography agreement was
signed. Cancellations made prior to thirty
days of the scheduled date: Any amount in addition
to the $500 deposit will be refunded minus the
cost of any work already performed (i.e. Bridal
portrait) and/or materials already purchased for
your Wedding (i.e. time). For cancellations or postponements less than thirty days
prior to the scheduled date, the deposit will not be refunded.
Q: What is your payment policy?
A: $500 deposit to
reserve your date. The balance is due no later
than one month prior to the wedding. Monthly
payments can be arranged for the balance.
Q: What if my parents want a
preview album for themselves?
A: Most parents do,
the parent albums start at $100.
Q: Is there anything that we need
to do for you?
A: Yes, please call or
email us to schedule an appointment to view our
work and visit with us about your plans and ideas.
Know that we will be working together on this;
This is a partnership. Through careful planning by
you and us, we will produce a relaxed environment
