Basics: Learn selective focus, How to make flowing water look dreamy, white, and soft, Equivalent exposures, Camera types and uses, Lenses types and uses, Flash photography (both pop-up and accessory flash), When to use and creative uses of a tripod, ISO, Ambient lighting, and more.

How to take better pictures using your camera: This one is actually more simple than the Basics class because it is geared towards hobbyists, scrap bookers, and general family and vacation use. There are many buttons, dials, screen titles, etc on your camera, I will show you what they are for and How to use them to Take Better Pictures! Bring your manual :)

Starting your own photography business: We'll start with the Basics and move on to the specific type(s) of photography you want to do. Then we will do the behind the scenes stuff. Register with the county court house, sales tax, etc., bookkeeping, job log, pricing, marketing, building your own website, etc.

How to Photograph Weddings: I enjoy teaching photography, but this is one of my favorites! We will talk about photographs that happen before, during, and after the ceremony, at the reception and what to look for. We will go over my list of traditional photographs and talk about many things that can be very different from one Wedding to the next.  We will talk about: How to be more creative, what your role as photographer is and isn't, how personality plays a huge role, how to prepare for potential problems and how to deal with them when they arise.
     We will also go into the sales process. How to do online proofing and ordering (for free!), Keeping a database, keeping in contact, etc.
